Hank Williams Wednesday: "Ramblin' Man"

"Ramblin' Man" was written by Hank in 1951, and released in 1953. This song was released under Hank's alter ego, "Luke the Drifter". It was one of the only songs that Hank released as Luke the Drifter, where he actually sang instead of reciting the lyrics. Here is my version of the song on Facebook.

My vision... or lack thereof.

For those of you who don’t know me, and for those of you who do, lol, I’m blind. I was born with a degenerative eye condition that has caused me to slowly lose my vision over the years. The first major milestone was around age 24, when I had to stop driving, and then about8 years later I started using a cane. Right now I really have no usable vision. I’ve had several people, over the years tell me that I have a great attitude about my blindness, and I have never responded the way that I would like to. The…

New Logo & New CD update.

Howdy all. I'm excited that I have a new logo for my music. It's a design based on a belt buckle that I've been wearing for about 22 years. It was created by Direct Ads, in Wentzville, MO., and I think that they did a great job.

Also, This past Saturday was the first day in the studio, for my new solo album. It was an awesome day, and the Route 67 band is really great to work with. I'm happy to call them friends, and I'm looking forward to the next day in the studio. Til next time.

A new music discovery & a special upcoming anniversary.

Howdy. I just recently heard Bobby Flores on Cousin Carl's radio show, and I love his music. He has a great Traditional Country sound. Looking at his bio, he's not new to the dance, but unfortunately I've just found him. Better late than never, right Bobby? Listen to Bobby Flores in this video, How Long Is Forever (This Time)

Also, you can learn more about Bobby HERE.

Next I want to tell you of a special upcoming anniversary. On April 29th, my awesome wife Jennifer and I, will be celebrating 18 years of…

Getting started.

I'm going to give this Blog a try, and see how long I can keep it going. I've been trying to do some songwriting lately, and I think that I have a few decent song ideas started. The ideas that I've been coming up with lately have an old traditional country feel to them. I've also been practicing some songs that I will be performing on upcoming shows, "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down", and "Lovesick Blues". I'll be appearing at the Belle Starr Theater in Warrenton, MO. on March 10th, and I'll be on the Cannon…
